Hailey Campbell
Hailey Campbell is a recent graduate with experience in climate resilience planning, youth climate policy education, and stakeholder engagement across municipal, NGO, and academic settings. She is a collaborative team player dedicated to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and climate justice. She believes that a just transition and sustainable future can only be achieved by prioritizing local communities and phasing out fossil fuels. As Executive Director of Care About Climate, Hailey aims to drive intergenerational collaboration, strengthen youth voices in climate policy-making, and build cross-sector partnerships to drive sustainability practices that achieve climate justice and long-term sustainability goals. Hailey has attended COPs since COP25 (Madrid), and successfully led the charge for countries to finally recognize youth as key stakeholders in climate decision-making in the Action for Climate Empowerment Work Programme adopted at COP26, and the institutionalization of an Annual Youth Forum at COP.
Emily Sarasa
Emily Sarasa is a legal professional committed to social justice and sustainability, leveraging extensive experience in policy advocacy, litigation support, and community engagement. As a Policy Field Fellow with the American Civil Liberties Union of Hawaiʻi, Emily advocates for policy changes related to policing accountability, decriminalizing poverty, discrimination, and houselessness. She earned a Juris Doctor and Certificates in International Law and Environmental Law from the William S. Richardson School, where she held leadership roles in multiple student organizations. Through the support of GEE-21 and her law school’s Environmental Law Program, she attended COP 27, COP 28, and COP 29. She presented her COP research on protest mobilization to the International Association for Philosophy of Law and Social Philosophy 2024 Conference and expects to publish the research in the Winter of 2025. Emily is driven to advance equitable policies and innovative solutions that promote systemic change and community empowerment.
